EDITOR NOTES
Important!
Due to old Google Gears installations Waveboard did not start correctly for some people. Therefore please make sure to remove previous Google Gears installations if you experience troubles. Here is a step by step guide explaining how this can be done: http://www.getwaveboard.com/gears/
DESCRIPTION
Waveboard wraps the web presentation of Google Wave in a desktop application and is ready for direct use, without the need of installing Google Gears or other tools. It also adds notifications to keep you updated about new or changed waves. Keyboard shortcuts are mapped to combinations that Mac users expect to work. It also adds the possibility to print and save single waves which is not possible with regular browsers by now. It also works together nicely with the Waveboard iPhone App which is available from the AppStore.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.11:
New Features:
-
Dockless Mode
You can decide if you want the dock icon to appear or note. Please note that the main window will not have the usual menu. You have to access menu entries trough the status menu.
-
Save Wave Content as Webarchive
The contents of the current wave are saved in Webarchive format without the surrounding element and without Javascript. This can be useful e.g. for reference versioning or sending contents to non Wave participants.
-
Link Status Informations on Mouse Over
Fixes:
-
Removed a bug in crash reporter.
-
Disabled loading of not correct installed Google Gears. Gears will automatically be disabled on errors.
-
